Station(s): KAJJ-CD-TV Job Type: fulltime Job Description: If you are a capable, organized, and independent Television MMJ, the dominant television operation in Northwest Montana has a rare opportunity for you. KPAX-TV/KAJ-TV is looking for an MMJ in beautiful and bustling Kalispell, Montana. The ideal candidate can capably report and produce daily news stories for two daily newscasts on KAJ-TV, which originate from KPAX-TV in Missoula, MT. Your coverage area ranges from the Flathead Lake and Mission Mountain Range to Glacier National Park and the Canadian Border. As well as a breathtaking environment in which to work, this region is abundant with skiing, hiking, camping and nearly every other outdoor activity you can imagine for your spare time. Our team is the leader in a multi-screen environment and you must understand and incorporate social media material into your workflow on every front - from reporting to producing to promoting in real time. We are looking for a team player who can edit video and meet all deadlines with a minimum of supervision. Ability to work under tight deadlines on a flexible schedule that includes weekends and some evenings is a must. A Bachelor`s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or equivalent is required. Two years of television broadcasting experience is preferred, but not required. A valid driver’s license will be required, along with a clean driving record and the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of equipment.
