Job Title Producer, Promotions Education Bachelor's Degree Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Location Nexstar - KLAS - Las Vegas, NV 89109 US (Primary) Category Promotions Job Type Full-time Job Description 8 News NOW (KLAS-TV) has an immediate opening for a full-time Promotions Writer - Producer to join the market's leading Creative Services Department. The successful candidate will have proven writing, producing and editing (Adobe Creative Suite) skills, and a demonstrated ability to turn around effective news topical & image promotions under tight deadlines. A clear passion for news, coupled with an enthusiasm for developing creative, unexpected solutions to promotional challenges, are a MUST. Familiarity with the Las Vegas market, a “can do” attitude, and experience leveraging social media as a promotional platform are major pluses. If you have news topical promotion experience; possess strong writing and producing skills; are self-motivated; and are a true team player, this may be the position for you. Qualifications: Strong writing and producing skills. Demonstrable production values, i.e. effective use of editing techniques, and audio editing and sweetening. Ability to edit promotional announcements on Adobe Creative Suite, direct talent. Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet strict time deadlines. Experience preferred. Job Duties: 1. Work with Creative Services Director & Senior Producer on maintaining brand direction, implementing strategy, and managing production. 2. Liaison with News Dept. on day-to-day promotion and marketing tactics. 3. Produce daily topical promos, as needed. 4. Conceive, write, and produce News image promos. 5. “Tag & bag” syndicated and network promotion. 6. Produce / Edit Public Service Announcements, as needed. 7.
