WMBF News, the NBC affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is seeking a part time Assistant News Specialist. Successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of television news production including, but not limited to, running studio cameras, operating an audio board and Chyron ISQ equipment, editing video, writing scripts for broadcast, posting to the web and working the assignment desk. This position also requires the candidate to learn how to operate a teleprompter, use Edius editing software and become familiar with Oasis and BitCentral programs. Strong writing skills preferred. Previous television experience preferred, but not required. Must have a flexible schedule. Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Pre-employment drug test required.
