Director of Finance (Regular, Full-Time) WJBK is seeking an individual for an immediate opportunity as the Director of Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Finance department, including supervision of staff and administering the department’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This includes general ledger close, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable and all internal reporting. This individual will have a key role in the annual preparation of the station’s budget (i.e., operating as well as capital). Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with three years’ general accounting experience at a management level. Expert knowledge of GAAP required. Broadcast industry experience a plus. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, with expert skill in Excel required. Familiarity with Integrated Accounting system (PeopleSoft) highly preferred. Other required qualities include: proven ability to conceptualize, develop and implement systems, apply sound analytical thinking, and must be detailed-oriented. Minimum three years’ experience in staff supervision, including staff development, training, and coaching required. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to establish effective working relationships with finance staff and other WJBK and Company personnel. Job Code: 006
