The Cox Media Group Front Desk Customer Service Representative is the point of first impression for visitors to our state of the art Media Center on the edge of Downtown Dayton. The Front desk is responsible for welcoming visitors and customers to our offices and guiding them to the appropriate employee to meet their needs.
Welcoming visitors to the lobby area and contacting the appropriate department to meet their needs or the individual they are meeting with.
Serves as the primary person answering calls coming into our central phone lines from customers, listeners, reader, or viewers
Directing callers to the appropriate department to respond to their requests for service or information
Tracking the number of local stories in our print publications each week and reporting those totals to our marketing department
Totaling the coupon values from all circulars in our Sunday print publications and passing those on to our Audience group for marketing purposes
Assisting other departments as requested with light clerical work
Review of call activity reports and preparation of simple weekly report to show peak periods for calls and answering efficiency
Must have excellent customer service and people skills with positive, professional image
Must be able to sit for most of shift and answer phones (
Should have some experience working in an office environment (Preferred)
Must have the ability to be flexible in schedule availability and able to cover other 4 hour shifts when needed
Must have excellent communication skills both on the phone and in person
Must have above average skills with Microsoft Office ( Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook)
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
