DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCER (PART-TIME) AT TEGNA Date Posted: 3/6/2017 JOB DESCRIPTION WHAS11 is looking for a web content producer to help increase traffic and revenue at the top local TV news website in Louisville. Candidates will be responsible for: Developing and publishing content for WHAS11.com and its social media platforms Researching, creating and integrating original and repurposed content involving text, images, video, and multimedia as well as initiating content conversations on social media Initiating breaking news stories to be sent via email or text blasts Creating specific web material to complement our various newscasts Creating specific web material promoting WHAS11.com content, specials, or other NBC programming via social media platforms Updating news headlines and other sections throughout the day Posting daily news video stories Creating, gathering and publishing multimedia content to the website Take leadership role in setting up daily live streams on interesting news content Designing and managing specialty sections on the website Participating in news meetings and all web/digital team meetings Developing strategies for increasing revenue opportunities online JOB REQUIREMENTS 1 to 3 years of professional digital content production Have a solid digital television, newspaper or radio news background with extensive experience covering breaking news Be able to write solid, “clickable” headlines and show published examples Have a strong understanding of AP style writing and be able to present examples Ability to work under tight deadlines Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, HTML and FTP Excellent interpersonal skills About TEGNA: TEGNA Inc.
