Executive Administrative Assistant
An employee in this classification, under the supervision of the VP/General Manager, performs administrative duties: handles appointments; travel arrangements for GM; and expense reports. In addition, this position assists multiple departments such as: inputting daily promo spots and PSA’s into Wide Orbit for Creative Services and Community Services; tracking expenses for Sales/Research/General Manager; Forecasting and budgeting for various departments for the Finance Department; preparing/distributing job postings for the Human Resources Department. Inputting and eliminating job postings on the web for Station career opportunities. In addition, as the Petty Cash Custodian, this person is responsible for adhering to the SAQ policies. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.
Successful candidate must possess strong writing, organizational and verbal communication skills. Should be detailed oriented and have demonstrated ability to multi-task and follow through on all projects assigned, while meeting strict deadlines. Must be resourceful and pro-active identifying issues needing attention. Proper telephone manner required. Expert-level skills with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Knowledge of Wide Orbit preferred. Must be able to work with multiple departments and station personnel. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentially regarding company information. College Degree in business or other related area, highly preferred. Minimum three years experience in an executive administrative function. Familiarity with broadcast news operations a plus. Moderate stair climbing, standing, sitting at workstation, and bending. Must have a valid driver’s license.
