Are you interested in a career in sales, journalism, digital or social media? Are you looking for a hands on dynamic internship, in a fast paced environment; where you work side by side with industry leading professionals? Where you get daily guidance from an assigned mentor, then you want to learn about our paid internship program.
WKYC offers paid internships for college students interested in Careers in Broadcasting and Digital Media. Depending on your focus, assignments would include working side by side with experienced journalists in storytelling, videography, digital and social media. In our sales and marketing operations students learn sales strategy and marketing skills.
Our program requires interns to receive college credit and proof of enrollment. We prefer students have a minimum 3.0 GPA in their major course of study. There will be internship opportunities available each quarter/semester in 2017. Internships will cover a quarter/semester at approximately 20 hours per week, with a schedule to be arranged by the intern and the internís mentor. Hours may vary based on station events and activities.
