Executive Producer, Video Promotion Arizona State University AZ PBS Campus: Downtown Phoenix Requisition Id# 30804BR Salary Range: Depends on experience Close Date: 03-April-2017 Job Description: Arizona PBS has an exciting opportunity in their creative department for an Executive Producer of Video Promotions. Under limited supervisor, the Executive Producer will develop concepts and ideas, write scripts and outlines, and oversea production of on-air promotions, including visual and audio treatments for all Arizona PBS channels. Essential Duties: •Develops and implements creative ideas for content and format of station promotions, fundraising and institutional promotions •Works with appropriate in-house staff, sourced creative talent, and production clients to plan, create, produce and implement promotions for KAET's institutional efforts •Produces programs, short-form fillers, segments and client production projects as assigned under supervision of designated executive producer •Creates, reviews, and executes production schedules, including appropriate staffing, equipment, materials and facilities to complete the productions •Supervises promotion staff and oversees editing of content to ensure achievement of desired outcomes •Brainstorms and discusses creative execution of concepts and ideas with station management •Coordinates talent, music and guest appearances and obtains required contacts, legal releases, and/or copyright clearances •Works closely and in conjunction with Programming to plan and create program promotions and implement established promotion priorities •Works closely and in conjunction with Operations to establish and ensure implementation of a strategic break structure •Prepares required reports and records for all production/promotion activities •Actively participates in planning, developing and evaluating the Arizona PBS branding and station promotions and oversees development of long term branding strategies by providing creative ideas and solutions •Monitors promotion budget and expenditures; establishes and monitors production budgets for assigned projects •Additional duties as assigned Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am- 5pm, to include some weekend and evening hours. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field AND six years experience writing, producing and/or directing television promotions; OR,Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications: •Experience working in the media industry or communications profession •Experience with Premiere and other editing software •Experience with Microsoft Office applications •Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast rules, regulations and guidelines •Experience with in-studio and remote production techniques, methods, and procedures •Demonstrated knowledge of marketing and branding concepts, strategies, and techniques •Experience with effective project and time management •Experience generating creative ideas and concepts in support of promo spots •Experience in working effectively in a fast paced, high volume, deadline driven environment •Experience working well with others •Evidence of effective verbal and written communication skills •Experience supervising others Working Environment: Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse. Required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%). Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
