Job Title: Creative Services Manager
Position reports to title: Vice President/General Manager

8 News Now, KLAS, CBS Las Vegas has an immediate opening for a Creative Services Manager.
Brief description of duties & responsibilities:
1.Manage all aspects of the Creative Services Department.
2.Plans and manages staffing, training and performance evaluations for the Creative Services Department.
3.Makes decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of employees.
4.Requires superior writing, shooting and editing skills
5.Experience in online digital promotions
6.Interact closely with news management to create powerful topicals
7.Ability to forecast, plan and execute full marketing campaigns
8.Head up community and promotional events
9.Create a positive and productive work environment
10.Responsible for the development of consistent station brand and image spots.
11.Work with Sales Department personnel to make sure that client needs are being met.
12.Manage all aspects of commercial production based on the client’s plans, conceptualizes those ideas, ensuring that they meet or exceed the client’s success criteria.
13.Work with Sales Department personnel to schedule clients for pre- and post-production writing, editing, and shooting of spots.
14.Assign projects to staff and verify that deadlines are being met.
15.Manage production of content to the established budget.
16.Write, edit and shoot video for commercial and promotional efforts.
17.Performs other duties as assigned.
Work experience and education required for position:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Minimum five years’ experience in creative media production, with at least two years’ experience in a leadership role. (More or less depending on market size.)
Experience guiding, directing and motivating subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
Experience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.
Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
Proficiency with video recording and editing equipment.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to effectively listen to fully understand a client’s needs and communicate with a team to shape a solution.
Special Skills Required:
Fluency in English.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
