Executive Producer - KMOV Missouri-St Louis Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. KMOV’s Executive Producer is the primary leader of the shift, overseeing anchors, producers, assignment desk, reporters, photographers and editors. The Executive Producer is expected to be the expert when it comes to articulating the pillars of News 4’s ‘Watching Out For You’ brand and how it is to look and sound on the air. The Executive Producer is expected to be aggressive in coverage of breaking news and severe weather, while respecting viewers who are watching KMOV programming. Your work is to be performed for all media platforms and initiatives, including for example: on-air, web, digital, and social media. The Executive Producer is expected to rate the performance of his/her direct reports and is involved in the hiring process as part of the management team. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 35% Oversight of primary newscast for brand compliance, factual accuracy, investigative showcasing and anchor engagement on state-of-the-art set. 20% Social media and digital strategy to attract new media consumers to the legacy on-air news product 20% Feedback, review and accountability with direct report staff members. 15% Spot ratings trends and use ratings research to adapt to changes in the LPM (Live People Meter) sample. 10% Involvement in station ‘KMOV cares’ events and special projects 100% III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. Experience: Minimum five years producing experience in a top 30 Market.. Executive Producer experience preferred, but not required. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of Nielsen LPM (Live People Meter) ratings system and ability to interpret research to develop newscast content strategy. % Travel Required (Approximate): None Job# JR02573
