Production/Community Engagement Internships The Nine Network of Public Media (ninenet.org) is in search of eager, hard-working interns that want to learn about and apply their skills and talents to support Nine Network of Public Media's work in production/community engagement. All internships require a minimum of a 10-hour per week commitment. We have some availability of paid internships. Production Support Intern Nine Network of Public Media (ninenet.org) seeks self-motivated, creative interns with a passion for content creation. Nine produces regular series and short form content for digital and broadcast distribution. Interns support the producers in all aspects of video production from videography, editing, writing, promotion, and distribution. Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated an accredited college or university Strong written and verbal creative and communication skills Must have knowledge in Final Cut Pro or other video editing software Competent in using social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to generate interest and awareness Experience with digital photography software (Photoshop) to facilitate social media content Overall web, Google Drive apps and computer confidence (uploading files, navigating web sites, etc.) Must be proficient with iOS platforms Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask Must be self-motivated Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines Must be dependable and team-oriented Evaluation/Research Intern Nine Network of Public Media has dedicated researchers analyzing the impact of our work, to better understand how our work and content help foster community engagement, understanding, and action across all of our functions at Nine. We seek self-motivated, sharp interns with a variety of skills who can contribute to this effort through: Locating and analyzing datasets Conducting and transcribing interviews Content analysis Social network analysis GIS mapping Survey design and data collection Statistical analysis Data visualization Database development Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated an accredited college or university Strong written and verbal creative and communication skills Experience with mixed methods data collection Creativity and flexibility in problem-solving Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask Must be self-motivated Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines Must be dependable and team-oriented American Graduate Intern Nine Network of Public Media (ninenet.org) seeks self-motivated, creative interns with and excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills to assist with the American Graduate Initiative (ninenet.org/americangraduate). Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, Facebook, Twitter, and Google Docs. Individual must have both talent and interest in working with a wide range of stakeholders (teachers, students, community members, etc.), organizing information, and preparing documents and resources for meetings, events, and interactive learning experiences. Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated an accredited college or university Must be willing to co-lead, assist, and plan community conversations, Youth Advisory Board Meetings, community engagement activities, Partner Meetings, etc. Strong written, verbal communication skills including presentation skills Competent in using social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to generate interest and awareness Experience with working and communicating with stakeholders (community members, community leaders, youth, parents, etc.) Overall ability to properly use Microsoft Office and Google Drive/Docs Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask Must be self-motivated Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines Must be dependable and team-oriented
