Experience: We are looking for a reporter/anchor who is equally strong on the street and the set. Strong, enterprise reporting is a must. The winning candidate is adept at ad libbing especially during breaking news. A strong digital presence is a must. Strong writing and spelling skills, solid news judgment, accuracy and knowledge of current events in St. Louis Highly professional with a strong work ethic, ability to perform in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, flexibility for when news breaks. Communicate and relate well with other members of the station team including Producers, Photographers, Executive Producers, Assignment Desk and with a television viewing audience. Valid Driver's License Must be willing to submit to a background check. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Requirements: Reporter/Anchor will execute assignments following the direction of the News Managers, Assignment Desk, and Producers Timely and effectively report on newscasts, anchor on newscasts, develop contacts, find and enterprise stories to KTVI KPLR standards, report those stories in a fair and balanced fashion that avoids litigation. Must be a strong communicator who keeps us briefed on story developments, live location and makes slot Must know social media platforms and understand what type of content to post. Candidate will be expected to make public appearances and promote KTVI/KPLR when asked Work closely with other members of the station team in planning, preparation, writing scripts, editing copy and creating show rundowns.
