Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Producer, the Television Producer/Director develops and directs various programs with the primary emphasis on directing multi-camera, in-studio and live productions with staffed student crew. The Producer/Director will also direct in-studio elements for promotional, fundraising, and other programming for television on-air broadcast, and/or educational video programs. The Producer/Director also coordinates the activities of assigned staff during productions, including regular employees and student production staff. Additional responsibilities include hiring, training, supervision, and scheduling of student crews. The incumbent uses independent judgment in determining the directorial approach to and development of program production-related concepts for the transmission and/or recording of in-studio/field productions. AZPM receives a significant amount of support from the University, viewers, listeners, and corporate sponsors.
