REQUISITION ID: req1633 JOB DESCRIPTION Role: The position is responsible for creating professional TV segments from inception to completion including researching, script writing in the Spanish language, and video editing Principal Responsibilities: ∑ Responsible for the overall production, quality, editorial tone and legal compliance of the segments assigned ∑ Responsible for making the final choice of stories pre-selected by Editorial Team ∑ Responsible of looking for newsworthy video along with the Assignment Desk ∑ Write compelling scripts for segments ∑ Create graphics and coordinate graphic orders with Art Department when necessary ∑ Partner with other departments as needed (such as Art, Promotions, Tech Ops, Assignment Desk) to place and follow-up on requests ∑ Record segment with talent ∑ Segment editing ∑ Assure segment is sent and received by client producer on time ∑ Bring fresh ideas and creative energy to the segments assigned ∑ Responsible for fulfillment of segment templates, style, concept, and structure ∑ Creates innovative content that can live on multiple platforms ∑ Other duties as defined MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience and Qualifications: Education Bachelorís Degree in TV Production, Communications, Journalism or related field Experience 2+ years of experience as Producer, Associate Producer or other similar positions, preferably in a newsroom environment with knowledge in editing techniques and principles Experience with iNews or similar newsroom computer system Skills Strong knowledge of current sporting events, and a passion for sports Strong editorial judgment is a must along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize Candidates must be creative, skilled in the latest newsgathering technologies and have reporting and producing experience Ability to establish priorities and anticipate needs of the team Thorough day-to-day knowledge of sports information and history Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and against the clock Software Experience with iNews or similar newsroom computer system AVID - Intermediate level required, expert preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Familiarity with augmented reality and touch screen technology preferred Language Bilingual English/Spanish (written and verbal) Annual Objectives: How do we measure this positionís success?
