REQUISITION ID: req1702 JOB DESCRIPTION Univision Deportes is looking for a Senior Producer who over-sees and takes initiative to produce live events efficiently. Senior Producer is expected to collaborate closely with producers and multiple departments to ensure effective and successful execution of our live coverage shows and digital content. Must be a multi-taker and serve as vital to the daily operation of the team. Assist production team on daily tasks and long-term projects. Senior Producer is expected to provide leadership in editorial and logistics to ensure the highest production quality. The Senior Producer is responsible for the editorial content and production quality of their assigned shows. Position will conceive, develop and produce entire live or taped programs and will be responsible for executing and achieving the show’s success goals. Produce top quality content, always staying true to the Univision Deportes brand. Principal Responsibilities: Responsible for content planning, content quality, editorial tone of the show assigned Effectively anticipates content needs for the show and communicates to the Line Producer for execution through service areas Manages the assigned show during live or taped execution in control room and gives support and guidance to the on-air talent Responsible for communication with and engagement of on-air talent in development of content for the show Bring fresh ideas and creative energy to the assigned show Responsible for fulfillment of show templates, style, concept and structure Create and deliver innovative content for other divisions such as digital, entertainment, etc., as needed Responsible for ensuring the assigned show has visibility across digital platforms Suggests creative sales/monetization opportunities for the show and cross-promotional initiatives Have working knowledge of or train to become proficient in all tools available for use in show production to complete tasks including but not limited to AVID, VizRT, Twitter, augmented reality, touch screen Leads and executes special projects as required Other duties as defined MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in TV Production, Communications, Journalism or related field 5+ years of experience as Producer, Associate Producer or other similar positions Strong knowledge of current sporting events, and a passion for sports Strong editorial judgment is a must, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Experience with iNews or similar newsroom computer system Proficiency in Microsoft Office Working knowledge and participation in various social media networks (Twitter, Periscope, SnapChat, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) Bilingual English/Spanish; excellent verbal and writing capability in Spanish language Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Candidates must be editorially strong and creative, skilled in the latest news gathering technologies and have extensive reporting and producing experience Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
