WKEF/WRGT* has a great opportunity for you! We are looking for interns for our News Department for the 2017 summer semester. Qualified candidates should also be planning and preparing for a job in news. We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated students who are looking to get the most out of their internship experience. You must be eligible to receive college credit to participate in this internship, and be at least 18 years of age. This internship is unpaid. Required Experience Qualified candidates should be planning and preparing for a job in news. We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated students who are looking to get the most out of their internship experience. Internships Include: Reporters- Shadow reporters, learn how to tell a news story, and have them create their own packages with standups. Producers- Learn how to put together a newscast, how to write for broadcast, learn how to “booth” a newscast. Videographers- Learn all the “ins and outs” of shooting video, lighting, and editing. Web Producers- Learn how to write for the websites, and social media. How we target different social media sites for different messages.
