An employee in this classification, under the supervision of the VP/General Sales Manager (GSM), will be responsible for correctly assigning the commercial copy that the local sales team sells in each order that is entered into Wide Orbit Traffic system. This individual will work with multiple departments within the Station and will also need to communicate with the outside advertising agencies and advertisers. The successful candidate will assist the GSM with various tasks which include: answering telephones, track vacation, coordinate travel for the department & maintain expense reports. In addition, this individual will update prime calendars with Fox programming; distribute mail and packages to the sales department and coordinate all ticket requests for the sales department. Other duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned.
Successful candidate must be proficient in the Wide Orbit Traffic system. Should also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Must have an understanding of the local spot television industry as a whole, especially as it pertains to advertisers, commercials and log reporting. Ability to multi-task with multiple clients within the traffic system required. Strong organizational and verbal communication skills. Sound attention to detail is critical. Ability to work under strict deadlines and work overtime when necessary. Four year college degree in business or other related area, highly preferred. Minimum three years’ experience in a sales administrative function. Must have a valid driver’s license.
