CBS Television Sales in Detroit is seeking a highly motivated, innovative individual to join the country’s premiere O&O broadcast group as a Sales Account Executive. Position will focus on new business development for WWJ-TV CBS 62 / WKBD-TV CW50 in conjunction with a variety of digital advertising opportunities. Ideal candidate will possess a marketing mindset and an understanding of the role advertising plays across a variety of businesses. Experience in television and online sales is preferred. Candidate will be a team player, whose hard work ethic will ensure success in a commissioned, goal-oriented sales environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Marketing these stations to retailers, distributors, and manufacturers with a focus on developing new business • Working with Clients and their Advertising agencies by selling commercial inventory, creating customized and unique promotions, attending client driven events, and selling any/all sports properties. • Strong presentation and negotiation skills a must. • Ideal candidate will be detail oriented, creative, energetic, and driven to succeed • Degree preferred, but not required.
