WKU PBS seeks applicants for the position of Athletics Video Coordinator. Reporting to the Television Production Manager, this position is responsible for visualizing, producing, shooting, editing and delivering high-energy content for multiple platforms. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Produce high quality, creative videos for multiple WKU Athletic programs on an as needed basis, including conceptualization, research, writing, interviewing, shooting, editing, finishing and delivery Coordinate video content plan for WKU Athletic programs on multiple platforms; including content requirements for Conference USA and media partners Coordinate content creation with Hilltopper Sports Marketing (IMG); WKU Athletics: Marketing, Communications and Media Relations; WKU PBS: Logistics Coordinator, Television Production Manager; Other staff as necessary Supervise streaming, video board, highlight, press conference and other athletics related productions. Including the scheduling of resources and personnel Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate in the training of WKU PBS student crew members on use of athletics related production equipment and processes Assist with management and archival of media assets Serve as technical liaison to outside vendors with regards to video productions at athletic venues; also coordinate highlights and other video elements per request to outside TV groups. Knowledge and Skills Considered Essential for Success: Demonstrated ability to generate high quality video projects Demonstrated ability to acquire high quality audio inside of a video production General knowledge and skills that will provide success in the duties above Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions. Knowledge of and operational skills related to camcorders, DSLR, lenses, recorders and digital cinema platforms Demonstrated problem-solving skills and solutions focused approach to challenges and improvements Ability to work well both independently and in collaboration with staff as a team member. Positive attitude and customer service orientation. Demonstrated experience in storytelling Demonstrated experience in video: acquisition, editing, color grading, compositing and delivery Familiarity with Click Effects Crossfire, Daktronics Venus, Grass Valley: 100; Carrera; and Kayenne Switchers Familiarity with BufTek Sport Replay Systems Familiarity with audio acquisition best practices and procedures Ability to Travel, have a Valid Driver's License, Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, work flexible hours including nights and weekends Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Video production or a related field Minimum two years of sports video production experience Minimum two years of experience creating promotional content Minimum two years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud products and/or Avid Media Composer Additional Information: Salary Grade: 106 Salary Range: $25,867 - $34,642 Kentucky state law requires all public institutions of postsecondary education to conduct pre-employment criminal background checks to determine suitability for employment.
