Category: Promotions Position/Title: Multimedia Promo Producer Details: The Multimedia Promo Producer is responsible for production of stations’ marketing messages for on-air promos, social and digital. Must be highly creative, multi-task and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to engage users to visit the stations Facebook and website through station promotion. Must own and maintain active Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts. Must be able to work both with and without supervision of a manager to implement eye catching on-air and digital creative. II. Essential Job Functions 50%Conceptualize, write, shoot and edit on air promos, including daily news topicals, station and news image spots as needed. Must have experience in photography, both video and still. Should have a high level of lighting and editing ability and knowledge of avid, final cut pro and other related editing systems. Must be responsible for maintaining and organizing promotion department camera equipment and accessories and manage archival video and folders in the avid system. Be an active participant in the collaborative and effective work environment among all station departments. Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment from proposal to execution. 20% Must be knowledgeable at producing social media and digital messages to drive social users to the television station. Ability to create captivating graphics to enhance the message. 5% 'Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to problem solve and work independently. Responsible for maintaining and managing video footage library, stills and graphics for use in the promotion of the station. 10% Be able to learn from metrics and adapt the strategy accordingly. 10% Understand licensing of pictures, graphics and music use. 5% Other duties as assigned. One year experience writing and producing news topical and news or station image promotional spots. Requirements: Proficient and knowledgeable in non-linear editing.Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office Suite, word, excel and PowerPoint, Photoshop & Aftereffects. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.Experience in broadcast promotion environment, with experience in daily news operation strongly preferred. Strong writing skills and non-linear editing skills.A knowledge of Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, mobile and digital ad promotion is an advantage.Understanding of basic marketing principles.Understanding of broadcast operations, including production techniques and log traffic. Extremely strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal collaboration and communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills for on-air, digital and social.
