• The Digital Media Account Executive will be responsible for generating digital media revenues for assigned station(s) and Meredith Digital Solutions, to meet or exceed predetermined goals. This role will create revenues by working collaboratively with Local Sales Managers and Digital Sales Manager, by driving the digital sales efforts; collaborate on presentations and by directly selling to key digital primary and secondary accounts. The Digital Media Account Executive will need to prospect qualified candidates, consult to identify growth opportunities, and deliver a compelling marketing strategy to sell a broad set of solutions from our extensive, first-class digital portfolio.
Essential Job Functions
o Develop and manage revenue producing relationships with clients and agencies through targeted account strategies.
o Prospect for new business and build a full pipeline of digital sales prospects.
o Analyze client marketing goals and develop needs-based digital solutions to achieve them.
o Provide consultation to sales managers, sales teams and clients in the areas of digital strategy (web design basics, Social media, best practices and digital media integration with traditional TV).
o Develop and manage the process of digital sales strategy, fulfillment and campaign delivery in conjunction with the local digital support team for targeted and active accounts.
o Work with the local digital team for additional revenue producing ideas and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education: Completion of high school, or equivalent. College degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of digital media sales or account management experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Demonstrated record of success to meet and exceed sales goals.
o Proven track record of digital sales success in local media or digital pure-play through solution / portfolio offerings.
o Expertise in the digital media landscape and campaign best practices.
o Technically savvy with high understanding and use of digital products to drive client results.
o Strong understanding of digital and social media platform ad solutions.
o Acquisition based B2B Sales.
o Exceptional phone and communication skills.
