KLAS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Weekend Director/Technical Director. Duties include learning and operating all control room equipment in the News Production Department. These include switcher, character generator, video servers and newsroom computer systems. Additional duties to include, but not limited to: Audio Operations, Studio Camera, Teleprompting, Live Operations. Shift will offer consistent hours with our PM team (2:30-11:30p). But, will also require flexibility and the ability to be on call for additional hours as needed by the News Production Department. Applicant must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds over their head. Minimum two years of experience as newscast director at broadcast television station required. Bachelor’s Degree in television production preferred, but not required. Experience with Ross switchers, Chyron Lyric, Avid INews a plus.
