WRAL Social Media Producer Worker Category :Regular Full Time Job ClassProfessional The Creative Services Department of WRAL is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Producer to work nights and weekends. This individual will design, create, and execute creative social media and web content for television station, digital and sports properties. Conceptualize, write, shoot and edit for Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram. Will collaborate with web producers to execute original content, graphics and video concepts; track performance of all social output to ensure both social engagement and business objectives are being met. This person will be an active participant in the collaborative and effective work environment across all station departments. Actively use social applications to find trending content Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-4 years’ experience producing custom social content and managing brand social accounts, preferably in sports, news or entertainment required. Sports/News social media experience preferred. Essential skills include an adaptable writing and content style for a range of shows as well as a proven track record of creating effective posts using photos, graphics, and videos, GIFs that create engagement, web referrals and television viewing. Proven results writing headlines and copy optimized for click-throughs; experience developing and creating visuals and video optimized for sharing; deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each. Must maintain active personal Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat accounts, at a minimum. Excellent communication and writing skills, strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills as well as overall production skills are necessary. Must be proficient in social media software applications (ex: Social News Desk, OBS, CrowdTangle, Tagboard, Topic Pulse, Wibbitz, etc.); strong graphic design skills required, experience with Photoshop is preferred. Adobe AfterEffects, Premiere knowledge a plus; video shooting/editing experience preferred. A pre-employment drug screening is required.
