The Social Media and Engagement Producer is responsible for coordinating and creating content for the station’s social media efforts including engaging audiences, interacting with communities and increasing brand awareness. This position will create compelling and engaging social and digital stories daily and present digital stories and social media content on television. Gather social, news and feature content in the field. Actively engage in online communities and blogs to promote FOX 5 Atlanta, the station’s talent and website. Produces and hosts live streaming of news and special event coverage on Facebook, YouTube and other social platforms. Serve as a social media leader for the station, training staff on best practices for creation and publication of social media content, and embedding a social mentality into our culture. Candidate must show excellent broadcast, web and social writing, handle multiple demands and competing priorities simultaneously in a strict deadline-oriented environment and be an effective communicator. A Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to three (1-3) years of previous on-camera presentation experience required.
