Description of Duties:
The social media producer will provide the nexus for our newsroom’s work in social media – developing strategy and tactics while also overseeing the interface between broadcast, web and social platforms. The producer’s job includes anticipating opportunities, organizing our approach to them, and coordinating our work with the assignment desk and web team. Other key elements of the job include: coaching talent to post on multiple platforms; monitoring and helping respond to comments, posts and messages; prospecting for content and sharing story ideas with news managers; running UGC campaigns for special events or topics, and collaborating with Creative Services on paid posts.
Applicants should have experience in both broadcast and digital news production.
Must be able to sit at desk for long periods of time and operate keyboard.
