Job Title Facility Maintenance Tech Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Facility Maintenance Tech is a hands-on position responsible for maintaining all aspect of the facilities in conjunction with the Facilities Manager. Help deliver safe, reliable, high quality facilities engineering, operations and maintenance programs that focus on enhancing the life cycle and performance output of our equipment. This position provides you with an opportunity to develop and manage subcontractors and services required to maintain over 90,000 square feet of television studio, technical and office space. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 50% Repairs and maintains all HVAC Systems, Security system including but not limited to Doors, Cameras, Gates, and all other facets of the facilities. Maintains property and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations by conducting daily and routine inspections of sprinkler systems and emergency generators May be required to be on call after hours for response to building emergencies. Will be required to perform other duties as requested by Supervisor. 25% Perform preventative maintenance (changing filters, light bulbs, maintaining equipment batteries, plumbing, etc.) and ensures compliance with system and/or facility policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations. 10% Work with vendors overseeing any repairs and installations. 10% Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, Painting, Drywall, and all other facets of maintaining the facilities. Basic woodworking and metalwork projects (and use of associated hand and power tools required) Light construction including: (Framing, drywall/finishing, paint and flooring) Light electrical work and plumbing repairs 5% Contributes to efforts to improve processes, reduce waste and promote system integration. Follows safety standards in all aspects of performance of the above functions, reports/removes unsafe equipment and attends safety education sessions. 100% III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: Degree Required - High School or GED, 2 yr. technical degree or equivalent training Experience: Must possess current knowledge of regulatory requirements. Requires a comprehensive working knowledge of environmental services functions, including chemicals, HVAC tools, electrical and equipment used. Basic knowledge of common carpentry and construction. Fork lift and person lift operations Preferred Years of Experience - 5 plus Facilities or related experience (Construction Facility Maintenance) Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Work safely at all times. Use personal protective equipment and abide by OSHA regulations for workplace safety Demonstrate leadership attributes while performing duties. Lead by example.
