Job Title Manager I, Digital Media Education Bachelor's Degree Career Level Manager Location Nexstar - WGMB - Baton Rouge, LA 70810 US (Primary) Category Sales Job Type Full-time Job Description Position Overview Nexstar Broadcasting Group / WGMB, and HYFN Local are in search of a dynamic Digital Media Manager. We are looking for an individual who will work with our Baton Rouge, LA team to continue to foster a positive culture of success. The Digital Media Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of, the App and the stationís social media channels. A successful candidate will be an expert in local digital, have a solid understanding of the current digital marketplace, and be knowledgeable about how to effectively manage our digital assets to increase their reach. The Digital Media Managerís responsibilities include: Plans, develops, and maintains the organization's web presence. Enters digital web orders and ensures all ads are trafficked properly. Coordinates web and e-media projects for both internal and external audiences utilizing web, social media, new media, multimedia, video and print tools. Consults and advises account executives, management, and news team on new technologies and developments in the digital space. Designs graphics for internal use and client use (i.e. logos, static banners, flash banners, display ads). Provides maintenance and page design for including the creation of web pages for both sales projects and news projects Understands page formatting - layout, design, and tables. Help promote internal products and client products by working with multiple departments including creative services. Works in conjunction with creative services and news to grow the stationís web presence through a strong social media and web posting strategy. Additional tasks as requested Qualifications: Education and Experience: Post-Secondary Education in Marketing, Web Design, Communications and/or Graphic Design 2-3 years of experience working in the field or related field Portfolio of projects preferred Skills and Abilities: Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier, Flash and Illustrator Ability to be creative and can apply creativity to station projects and sales projects Has a good design aesthetic and pays strict attention to detail Ability to communicate with various departments and vendors Ability to meet tight deadlines Knowledge in Web Design Knowledge of SEO, social media and digital marketing strategies Video Editing experience a plus
