The Creative Director will work closely with the Director of Marketing to craft and implement the visual identity of the 5 On Your Side brand, not only in promotional materials, but also in newscasts and on our digital platforms. In addition, the Creative Director will be a leader and innovator with respect to our audience experience, helping to devise, support, and implement more dynamic ways of delivering our news product. Responsibilities Support the Director of Marketing in creating and maintaining the visual identity of 5 On Your Side Promote a vibrant creative culture within the station that helps inspire the team to experiment and be forward-thinking. Provide leadership as part of the station’s audience experience team by providing inspiration, motivation, guidance and training to Marketing and News departments. Facilitate communication between various departments to ensure consistency of look and voice, with respect to the 5 On Your Side brand. Supervise selected creative projects involving graphics, including show packaging and promo graphics. Monitor and give honest assessment of work with constructive criticism and positive reinforcement. Play a key role in the day-to-day management of the workflow of on-air graphics in coordination with the News, Engineering, and IT departments. Assist Director of Marketing in initiating new systems and protocols to help the work flow and process on the team. Experience with graphics playback systems, including Vertigo, Newsticker, Namedropper, Chyron Experience with editing systems, including Edius and Premiere Pro Proficiency for navigating multiple workflows for various on-air graphic devices
