The Orlando Sentinel video operation, winner of a 2017 regional Emmy award for community service and previously cited by Editor & Publisher as one of “10 Newspapers That Do It Right”, is looking for a video editor to join its award-winning, industry-leading video team. The video editor will primarily edit staff and third-party footage, but also will post and program video content for our digital and social platforms. In collaboration with our local TV partner, the Sentinel does a live, daily news webcast, so any video editor must be comfortable working in a live production environment. The ideal candidate should be nimble enough to shoot and edit videos quickly and, when needed, also operate our state-of-the-art live stream equipment from the field. A candidate with on-camera experience would be a big bonus. An experimental mindset and a digitally aggressive approach are requirements for consideration, as is experience in video production. |
