job posting:

WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a dynamic full-time Digital Journalist to produce content for our digital and on-air platforms. We’re looking for someone who speaks the social media language, is an Instagram fanatic, Snapchats like a pro, and of course knows how to engage and build an audience on Facebook and Twitter. You must be a top-notch digital journalist: able to write an AP-style news story for the web quickly and without any errors. You must be able to quickly learn and retain knowledge on complex processes, such as: sending out breaking news alerts, organizing content on our website, mobile site and mobile app, setting up a livestream on our website and Facebook simultaneously, finding and creating engaging web graphics, and more. This exciting hybrid position will also function as a traditional reporter/MMJ twice a week, going out into the field and shooting, writing and editing a package with a digital focus that will also air during our broadcast. The right candidate must have strong broadcast writing skills, creative shooting and editing abilities, attention to detail, grace under pressure, and journalistic integrity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with knowledge and some experience in digital journalism who is looking to get their foot in the door. Candidate must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and MVR check. Qualified applicants, please apply online http://careers-raycommedia.icims.com, attach your resume, and include samples of your previous work. No phone calls please. EOE-M/F/D/V
