Details: KSDK-TV is seeking an investigative reporter/Multi-Skilled Journalist to work with its new Investigative Team in St. Louis, Mo. The team currently consists of another reporter, a researcher, a dedicated photographer/editor, and an executive producer. Applicants for this position should have 3 to 5-years-experience doing investigative reporting. They also need strong photographic and editing abilities, along with advanced broadcast-style writing skills. Candidates will be expected to create stories for television, mobile, and social platforms. Job Requirements: STRONG critical-thinking skills and an attention to fine detail A sharp in-depth interviewing technique The ability to accurately do exciting live reports A good understanding of FOIA and open records laws. STRONG organizational and multi-tasking skills Pluses include: Computer assisted-reporting (CAR) skills A knack for imagining and producing creative and clear story graphics A drive to find out the ‘why’ of a story |
