Details: 5 on Your Side, St. Louis is looking for a creative and innovative News Topical Producer: Someone who understands local TV news and how to grab an audience with compelling news promotion spots. In this creative position you will write, produce, shoot, and edit effective daily news topical and brand image promotional spots airing in prime time. Job Responsibilities: Responsible for executing best in class 10pm Topicals Marketing mind and news savvy – responsible for executing brand, image and topical news while communicating end viewer benefit. Comfortable being an aggressive marketing advocate with a deep understanding of brand tenants to effectively influence the newsroom Embedded in the news room this person will work closely with Anchors, news producers and reporters to write, light, shoot, produce, edit and coordinate all video and audio materials necessary for production of topicals Ability to adapt quickly to support breaking news and weather, working with news to capitalize on winning the 10pm timeframe Must be a genuine consumer of news We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value the benefits of diversity in our workplace.
