The KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking a creative team player with bold fresh ideas and outstanding production skills. We’re a top CBS/Fox/CW/MyNet quadopoly and we need a Senior Promotion Producer/Editor/Videographer who knows how to write copy that hooks viewers and keeps their eyes glued to our stations. You must have an active writing style, must be able to work on several projects simultaneously, plus shoot and edit under tight deadlines. You must be able to produce spots that win viewers, not just awards! If you’re passionate about television marketing and promotion, have a true love for writing, a keen interest in news, and thrive in a very competitive marketplace, you could be the perfect candidate to join our promotion team. Requirements: Excellent writing, editing and conceptual producing skills. Proven ability to conceptualize, write and produce advertising for television, radio, web and outdoor. Proven editorial judgment. Ability to develop, brainstorm and create a variety of advertising in traditional, interactive and non-traditional media. Hands-on experience with non-linear editing and shooting. Work well under deadlines and be a self-starter. Schedule, shoot, and direct on-air talent. Software experience – Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator). Video experience – ENG, prosumer and DSLR video equipment, basic lighting. Must be a team player. Excellent communication & organizational skills desired. A valid driver license & acceptable driving record is required. Familiar with IAB standards and creative guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned. Experience: College degree along with 2 years’ broadcast promotion writing/producing experience recommended. Physical Demands and Work Environment: In this position you must be able to sit, conduct telephone conversations, use electronic mail, write letters and memos, conduct face-to-face discussions with individuals or groups, make decisions without supervision, make decisions that impact the results of co-workers, work in close proximity to others, work outdoors in all weather conditions, and work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. The senior promotion producer/editor position is a weekday, daytime position but some station events will require an ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
