WKRN-TV, Media General’s ABC Affiliate in Nashville, TN, has an opening for a dynamic Digital Sales Manager who can take our Sales Department to the next level in digital revenue development. Job Description: Our new DSM will development and manage our digital sales strategies for WKRN’s station products along with selling our best in class LIN digital products. The DSM is responsible for leading our local sales team beyond our revenue goals while gaining market share. DSM will work one-on-one with AE’s and provide in-field coaching to expand our influence in the local marketplace. Work alongside the GSM and LSM to grow the number of businesses utilizing digital products in conjunction with TV. The successful candidate should have a combination of success in digital sales, success at managing teams of people and strong leadership ability. Skills (Essential and Preferred): A Bachelor’s Level Degree Strong leadership characteristics – Excellent Communication skills, both speaking and writing – Track record of successful digital sales – Track record of successfully managing teams – Good at problem-solving – Good at multi-tasking – Goal oriented and motivated by building strong sales relationships – Knowledge of digital platforms and processes – Knowledge of effective advertising strategies – Effective at working in teams and with other leader/managers – Analytical and detail-oriented – Competent with all consumer technology and office software programs. Experience (Essential and Preferred): Achieve digital revenue goals and grow digital market share – Forecast digital revenue and develop strategies and initiatives to achieve goals – Lead and train sales teams in digital revenue sales – Meet with the AE’s, one-on-one and provide guidance on sales efforts – Provide in-field coaching – Develop sales reports as needed – Set AE goals and monitor on-going performance – Work with and sell best in class LIN digital products in addition to station platforms – Manage digital inventory and set pricing – Help AE’s monitor active campaigns to ensure delivery against stated goals – Help GSM and LSM to recruit new sales talent to the organization.
