WGN-TV has an immediate opening for a Research Director.
Responsible for analyzing audience delivery and providing audience estimates, coordinates research efforts with national rep firmís research department and assists WGN/CLTV sales with presentation materials. Provides audience trends and custom studies for local general management, programming, news, digital and creative departments. Should have complete understanding of Nielsen, Comscore and Scarborough products as well as established relationships with their personnel. Will work closely with General Manager and News Director on NSI Custom Studies as well as Norm Hecht Research. Will be responsible for managing and guiding one sales and marketing analyst.
Requires a degree in communications, marketing, broadcast research, digital or equivalent experience and a thorough understanding of audience research and estimating procedures. Must have the ability to express recommendations in writing and present to small groups. Should be proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite, and research and related tools such as SQAQ/WRAP, Arianna, Media Monitors, Wide Orbit and PowerPoint. Understanding of Sorenson Media and Share Rocket a plus. At least 5 years of broadcast research experience is preferred.
