Are you a news junkie with a passion for storytelling and a penchant for creating engaging digital and social media content? WMBF News, the NBC affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, is searching for a Digital Journalist who is as comfortable writing a grammatically-perfect, AP-style web story and sending out a push alert as they are picking up a camera, shooting a story, and writing and editing a package for broadcast. This journalist will be responsible for digital content part of the week, including crafting dynamic social media posts on various platforms, monitoring scanners, contacting PIOs for information, finding new stories on social media, communicating with producers, reporters and managers, and ensuring that only properly-sourced and grammatically-correct content is published online. On other days, she or he will find and report on unique local content for digital, on-air and OTT platforms.
