Producer Details: KTVI / KPLR in St. Louis is seeking an experienced producer to serve as a newsroom leader! The primary purpose of the News Producer is to produce, write and gather information and graphics for highly produced newscasts St. Louis - 63146 State: Missouri Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or related field is preferred 2+ years producing experience Top notch showcasing skills and superb writing and communication skills Ability to work under extreme pressure and deadlines Must keep up on local, state, national and international events Watch local TV news whenever possible Must work individually as well as part of a team This position requires someone who can exercise discretion, best judgment, and has solid journalistic/ethical skills Must be extremely flexible to work different shifts throughout the year Must be willing to submit to a background check Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States Equal Employment Oppportunity #TBMB Requirements: Writes & produces news stories for daily newscasts Produces opens and graphics elements for a highly produced newscast Fills in on other newscasts as needed Submits story ideas daily and work aggressively to increase traffic on web and mobile platforms Contributes recommendations on daily story coverage and special assignments Must be available to work station promotion events Serves as a leader within the news room, offering advice & assistance to other employees Copy edits news stories by reporters and writers Produces special news events, shows and coverage outside the daily newscasts Contact: For consideration please apply to www.tribunemediacareers.com Apply Online URL: www.tribunemediacareers.com |
