Join WGN-TV News as a Senior Producer for our 24 Hour Cable station. You must love local news, have a solid news judgement and work well in a busy breaking news environment. An understanding of Chicago, its politics and the suburbs a must. You’ll supervise other Producers with responsibility for several newscasts each day on our 24-hour news channel, CLTV. You will be involved with every step of the daily productions, making news decisions as well as decisions regarding programming of the channel during times of breaking news. At times you will also need to line produce the newscasts. You need to be a leader and mentor to the producers working on your shift. This means you already know how to produce newscasts and how to use all the latest computer technology for editing, show creation, playback. You must have at least 5 years producing experience.
