Our Digital Content Engagement and Distribution Specialist is critical to our mission by helping the TPTOriginals.org team reach and cultivate relationships with the audiences of the future through creative content distribution, unique and effective engagement strategies, and community advocacy. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: • Develops creative content distribution campaigns in collaboration with Digital Content Manager, Social Media Specialist, Content Leaders and Producers to reach audiences outside of TPT’s traditional networks. • Reviews analytics and data to extract actionable insight that can drive distribution and engagement strategies on social media platforms and via content partnerships. • Works with producers on specific efforts to make their TPT Originals content more discoverable in search and on platforms such as YouTube (i.e. keyword research). • Crafts creative strategies for engaging new and emerging audiences on digital channels, specifically on social media. • Leads and manages internal efforts to market and distribute local content through the social media and personal networks of TPT staff members. • Researches opportunities to partner with local storytellers/community advocates. • Coordinates efforts to connect with social and community "influencers" to drive engagement with TPT Originals content and to reach audiences that are currently outside of TPT’s traditional networks. • Collaborates across all TPT departments to identify opportunities to facilitate synergy between content, audience engagement and distribution. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • 5-7 years digital marketing experience, specifically around social media marketing and content optimization. • 1-3 years proven success sustaining relationships with community organizations and individuals across race, class, generations and diverse lived experiences. • Demonstrated ability to build authentic, community-led projects that meet the needs of individuals and organizations • Strong communication skills, including careful listening, are paramount. • Position will require some travel to community partner organizations within the Twin Cities (up to 30% of working hours). • Access to reliable transportation. • Ability to work a flexible schedule (this role will require attendance at some community and major station events, among others). PREFERRED SKILLS: • Sees diverse experiences and perspectives as the essential components of a successful, creative digital strategy team. • Familiarity with design thinking/human-centered design approach. • Research experience, including one or more of the following is also a plus: focus groups, interviews, quantitative data analysis, creative arts-based research, participatory action research, user experience research, community-based research.
