CBS46, a Meredith station is searching for a Sr. Promotion Producer. The Senior Promotion Producer works closely with the Promotion Manager and Creative Services Director to carry out all aspects of on-air & digital station promotion. This person is responsible for writing, shooting, editing and producing daily topicals, proof of performance spots and special report promos for multi-platform distribution as well as creating marketing messages for social media. In addition, this position: • Takes the lead on station projects • Collaborates with the news department to identify the best promotable stories for CBS46 News • Works closely with the digital team on social media promotion Essential Job Functions: • 40% - Writes, edits, shoots and produces news TSR promo’s, proof of performance spots and daily topicals • 30% - Writes, edits, shoots and produces station and news image campaigns • 20% - Writes, edits, shoots and produces commercial projects • 5% - Avid media management • 5%- Other duties assigned by the Promotion Manger or CSD Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training and/or experience Experience: 3-5 years in local television Specific Knowledge, Skills and abilities: • Excellent writing, shooting, editing and producing skills • Excellent non-linear editing skills. Avid editing experience desired • Possess knowledge of After Effects and Photoshop. • Ability to work in a face paced, deadline driven environment and work flexible hours • Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical • Detailed experience and understanding of all aspects of TV promotion and production including News, Sports, Public Service and Commercial Production. • Travel: <5%
