Job Title Traffic Coordinator Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Arizona’s Family CBS 5 & 3 TV (Meredith Corp.) Traffic Coordinator will be cross-trained to handle copy and logs. He/she will gather and enter changes to copy instructions and materials on multiple log streams as directed by his/her manager. This position will handle inventory maintenance on logs for multiple log streams as directed by management. Ensures proper separation, spot placement and fair and equal rotation on all log streams. He/she communicates with Account Executives and Sales Managers regarding orders. In addition, the Traffic Coordinator: • Communicates with Account Executives and/or sales managers on missing, incomplete or incorrect copy instructions. • Produces daily dub lists and weekly purge lists for assigned stations. • Provides second tier back-up support for Log & Copy Editors. • Finalizes and sends log files for multiple log streams to all necessary locations. • Maintains inventory control of displaced spots for assigned log streams. • Assist in entering show names daily on all logs. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 50% Maintain inventory control for future weeks 30% Provides back-up for log and copy editors when necessary 20% Cross checks station program schedules with what is formatted in WideOrbit 100% Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: Completion of high school, or equivalent. Experience: Two years experience in a broadcast television station’s traffic department or traffic role is required. Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Previous experience using WideOrbit is highly preferred. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to meet deadlines and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner. Must be adaptable and flexible with the ability to shift focus on new priorities. Strong interpersonal skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be team oriented and have had past successful experience working in a team environment. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle and maintain confidential customer and company data. Must be able to follow directions and dependably complete assignments.
