Job Title YLAZ Co-Host Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Your Life Arizona Co-Host at Arizona’s Family CBS 5 & 3TV (Meredith Corp.) is a part-time role that assists in segment planning and daily scripting. Works with staff to evaluate and improve Your Life content for both clients and viewers. The Co-Host also serves as the Host as needed. Hosts other programming and production as needed. Work performed is for all media platforms and initiatives, including for example: on-air, web, digital and social media. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 40% Co-host Your Life A to Z. On camera from studio or location, deliver daily show content to viewers. Use personality and conversation, enhanced with humor and insight, to build a comfortable on-air relationship with viewers and guests. Provide excellent customer service. 20% Help script daily show and show sheet. Write clearly, accurately, and conversationally. 20% Produce offsite segments. Research, write, and appear on camera for location packages. 15% Segment Plan. Research and organize content and visuals for segments as assigned. 5% Promote show growth. Evaluate with staff creative vision of Your Life and recommend content and strategies to enhance revenue and ratings 100% III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Degree in Broadcasting or Communications preferred. Experience: 1-2 years professional experience hosting a local program preferred. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to convey a show image and show content to targeted demo viewers. Exceptional communication skills, creativity, and detailed knowledge of field production. Ability to memorize short scripts and ad-lib information. Demonstrate good judgment and proficiency in research, writing, and creating solutions for content or technical issues that arise during all phases of production. Ability to work well under pressure while meeting daily deadlines. Ability to work well on a team, as well as independently. Excellent computer and typing skills.
