If you like to produce fast-paced, creative newscasts and enjoy working in a team environment, we want to hear from you. You must love where our business is headed and be aggressive at participating on all platforms. In this role, you will: • Encourage innovation and risk-taking in crafting great newscasts through evoking emotion and showcasing • Write and edit news stories for on-air broadcasting and digital platform • Develop content through social listening and independent sources • Be a top-notch communicator • Work collaboratively with other producers and staff members • Skillfully use social media and digital tools to research, discover and distribute content • Write in an exciting, captivating and authentic manner • Write and post on all digital platforms including social media • Research for facts and credibility • Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories • Be able to handle assignment desk duties including phone newsgathering, crew coordination and other duties as assigned • Perform other tasks as required by supervisor or executive producer We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value the benefits of diversity in our workplace.
