Join our News Team as a Photographer/Editor. Responsibilities The Photographer/Editor is responsible for the operation of cameras, editing and microwave equipment used in electronic newsgathering. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in broadcasting/similar major or equivalent related experience is required. Must know spot news, but have an eye for creative storytelling, as well. Ability to maneuver and operate a live truck required. Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs) and work various shifts. Good communication skills, sound editorial judgment and familiarity with Chicago city streets a plus. Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X a plus. Three to five years television news gathering, editing and microwave experience required. Valid driver’s license required as position requires driving.
