TELEVISION DIRECTOR | LIVE SHOT COORDINATOR Mills James has an immediate opening for a broadcast professional to join our team to direct an entertainment program running on a multi-station regional television network. Secondary duties will include coordinating and facilitating live studio feeds to the major television broadcast and cable networks such as CNN, ESPN, and Fox News. This position will report to our Field Production Manager and may entail other production duties as assigned by the supervisor. We are looking for a talented, motivated, and energetic individual who takes initiative and extreme pride in their work. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a combination of education and experience in television production Possess a minimum of five years' experience directing live or pre-recorded television programming Provide production coordinating skills necessary to assemble a team on short notice Demonstrate an understanding of esthetics of camera operation and framing Possess the required technical skills for configuring codec-based broadcast transport, including LTN, The Switch, and Vyvx Exhibit the client skills necessary to collaborate with external and internal customers; skills required to lead a team to a single point Manage, adjust, and react positively in the ever-changing production environment Provide a valid driver’s license required Provide a demo reel with director's track Available to work early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends Mills James offers a comprehensive benefits package for this full-time opportunity, including health, dental and vision care, 401(k) and Roth 401(k) and our unique Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
