Broadcast Maintenance Technician (Regular, Full-Time) WJBK Fox 2 Detroit seeks an experienced broadcast maintenance technician to provide full-time technical support for all broadcast equipment including, but not limited to, master control on-air equipment such as automation system and on-air severs as sell as Broadcast IT systems, transmitters (AM, FM, TV, Microwave Fiber, satellite, etc.), receivers, cameras, switchers, graphic system, audio equipment, video systems, routers, automation/editing systems, intercoms, two-way radios, network switches, servers, IP systems, monitors and display systems. Maintain network interface with Fox Hub/Spoke systems to send and receive local and national programming and commercial content. Install various new television electronic equipment and software to enhance our ability to produce local news, sports, productions and daily on-air programming integrated with commercial content. Assist with remote location productions. Perform other related duties as deemed appropriate and as assigned. Minimum 2 years of college or technical school majoring in a Broadcast related field, IT related field or equivalent broadcast experience. At least 3 years working in a Major Market broadcast environment or IT environment. Proven ability to repair, maintain and operate all types of standard broadcast equipment and related software. Proven ability to install, configure, maintain and operate IP based SAN, LAN, or WAN Systems. Computer literacy is essential. CAD experience a plus. Must have excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced quickly-changing technical environment. Understanding of all pertinent FCC rules and regulations. Cisco certification and SBE certification is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships. Valid driver license. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Job Code: (11373) |
