Job Title Social/Digital Marketing Manager Job Description I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Social/Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible to manage the workflow in concert with local digital and content teams and both creative groups to put out marketing content on each station’s on-air, app, website and all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snap Chat. They will oversee research and strategies to maximize the potential of all station digital projects. This manager will work with both the Phoenix Creative Group and Nashville Creative group to identify best practices, new methods, big picture projects and outside media planning and performance tracking. Projects can include, but are not limited to, managing paid digital placement, topical promotion, network prime, specials and sports programming, local community initiatives and events, TSR promotion, Facebook LIVE and special social media and digital programs. They will also work with local newsrooms on daily topical promotion plus other duties as assigned. II. Essential Job Functions Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results 45% Oversee production of marketing content on each station’s on-air, app, website and all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snap Chat. 15% Coordinate digital ad placement and paid strategies and work with outsider agency in placing buys. Track performance and recommend adjustments to buying practices. 15% SMP will work with station and group management to identify and target key audiences through geofencing strategies and targeted paid campaigns and will also be responsible for providing monthly analytics. 10% Assist in the purchase of digital outside media buys and track the performance of the digital buys, as well as the creation of sponsored digital/social assets. 10% Work closely with News digital content creators and will be trained in their skill set to assist when needed. 5% Be proficient in the duties and responsibilities of other positions within MLM Creative Group 100% III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered. Education: College degree in Broadcast Journalism, Digital Marketing, a comparable field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a digital content producer required, experience writing and editing for television station preferred.
