WGN-TV is searching for a meteorologist for our weekend morning newscasts, in addition to responsibilities during the week. Responsibilities: -Forecasts and prepares weather products across all platforms, including digital -Anchors severe weather coverage and produces special content as required for severe weather -Scheduled for our Saturday and Sunday morning broadcasts in addition to weekdays, often as vacation relief -Reports live when needed, especially during severe or inclement weather -Actively uses social media and other platforms to inform and engage viewers and grow audience Requirements: -BS in Meteorology or equivalent required -AMS/CBM and/or NWA Seal preferred -Knowledge of WSI and Baron preferred -Dynamic and personable, with genuine on-air performance skills -Knowledge and grasp of the fast-changing world of social media, with the ability to deliver weather content across multiple platforms Nexstar Media Group (NASDAQ: NXST) is a leading diversified media company that leverages localism to bring new services and value to consumers and advertisers through its traditional media, digital and mobile media platforms.
