Position: Producer, Creative Services Company: E. W. Scripps Company Station(s): WXYZ-TV-TV Job Type: fulltime Hours: Compensation: / year Job Description: WXYZ, the Scripps ABC Station in Detroit, MI is looking for an outstanding Creative Services Producer/Editor for our ABC and MyNetwork affiliate in Southfield, MI. This position is responsible for producing and editing on-air promotions, proof of performance, and station sponsorship spots. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Conceptualize, studio/field shoot and edit on-air promotional spots for news, programming, web and special projects using multiple platforms Works closely with management staff on spot development and promotional ideas Organize promotion projects Interact with and respond to social media audiences Analyze rundowns to coordinate the best on-air, social and digital marketing materials Track monthly analytics on all current social/digital platforms. Provide ways to optimize platform growth Work closely with affiliates to support programming on air and online Perform other duties as needed by management WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Working knowledge of current creative suite for product development Superb attention to detail, time management skills, and strong communication skills Knowledge of post-production television editing suites, with emphasis on Adobe Creative Suite Working knowledge of MAC systems Benefits: medical, HSA, dental, optical, life insurance, STD, LTD, 401 k, paid time off Education Required: High School diploma (or GED) required. Bachelors degree preferred Experience Required: 1 - 3 years experience of writing or editing in local broadcast preferred At least two (2) years professional broadcasting marketing/promotions/creative services experiences required. Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and good driving record required. In addition, proof of insurance and liability coverage may be required.
